Order update 10/12/24 customer service reach out with a refund offer but I wanted a replacement tymo porta instead they will be sending me a replacement free of charge.
Update 11/1/24 my replacement porta arrived beautifully customer service is absolutely amazing and all of the tymo hair styling products are amazing and game changing.
Straightening of my hair so that the flyaways lay straight. This is the second time I own this product and had exactly the same problem. The product does not hold a charge to be charged very very frequently. You could be in the middle of doing your hair and the red light turns on.
Update: I was so surprised that the seller reached out to me, with their sincerest apologies & offered a refund. I am grateful for companies like theirs who took responsibility.
Update: Well I spoke to soon. The seller did reached out to me a second time but decided instead of a refund they would send another product. And I was given a tracking number that doesn't work. So, I tried to find any information on what they are sending me, like order number. But no information on Amazon. Shocker!!!!
Update part 2: Well, I was mistaken and this company came through. I just needed to be a little patient, even though I could not follow the tracking. My replacement product did arrive on time. And I can't wait to try it. This company did keep their word and I am truly grateful
Unfortunately just went to on another venture and it just quit working.
I did just order a new one to replace it, but am a bit nervous it’ll happen again. The size is great, fits in my purse. Easy to use. I do recommend it, but it didn’t even last a year. Ordered on August 3 2023.
Will always be in my bag from now on.
I like the size (of course it's portable so it's gotta be small) and how it feels while straightening hair. Felt pretty grippy and didn't feel like it can easily slip or fall off from your hand.
Overall amazing product. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a portable straightener..
2 cons:
1. I wish the travel pouch was big enough to fit the charger and cable in it but thats not a deal breaker and all
2. I wish the heating plate/bristle part was removable so it can be cleaned. Not sure if it need to be cleaned. Sometimes product can deposit and collect in between the bristles ?
Another review mentioned hitting the power button often, which would change the heat setting. I had that issue as well initially, but with practice holding it you eventually avoid it.
I also like the shape of it, it really makes it easy to add volume at the top of my head since it’s round.
I was able to buy it on sale, so if you can get it on sale - even better. Hope you find this helpful.
My only criticism is that the plug that goes in the bottom is SO tiny & easy to lose. It seems like this could be on a string or something since it's such an important piece - it not only covers the charge port but it also disables it when not in use so it can't heat up in your luggage/purse if the button is bumped.
