I have a silicone mat on my counter and I couldn't get this to seal with it, which is user error. Even still, it did an okay job shredding.
It would be nice if this had better storage. The holder for the extra blades doesn't have a lid, so they'll all just fall out if put on their side.
On the other hand, when it’s in place and I use it - I love the shredder. Super easy, nothing gets clogged, lots of uses. So I wish I could replace the turn thing, otherwise good.
I looked at every brand of this type grater and read tons of reviews. They all seem to work well, so what made me choose this one? This one seemed sturdier, came in this perfect shade of green, and it had the “chrome” detail that made it look nicer.

On unpacking, we first noticed how light and almost flimsy the parts felt. For the size and price point, we expected the parts to be heavier and more robust. Once we put it together (which was an easy process), it became readily apparent that appearances can be deceiving. We took this one to task on a couple blocks of Land o Lakes American cheese and it did not disappoint! You do have to make sure you have the plunger in the correct orientation (follow the curve of the grater) or else you will grate some plastic into your cheese, but other than that, it is a very straight forward and effortless process. The handle tension can be adjusted and the absolute best part is the suction base - when you flip the lever, it grips the counter top and really holds on super well! Your hands are free to work with the cheese or vegetables and don’t have to worry about the unit sliding away.
This is a great addition to our utensil collection and I highly recommend you add it to yours too!
